The park is located near the coast, north of the Tenerife island in the Costa del sol region. Loro Parque Tenerife Avenue, s/n, 38400 Puerto de la Cruz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain.

Things to do and places to go at Loro Parque

Planet Penguin | Loro Parque Tenerife

Planet Penguin is in its own dome at the park, near the entrance so it can be first place to view. The enclosure has real snow and a huge iceberg like platform with hundreds of penguins.

What is most impressive about the enclosure is that you’re given an amazingly unique 360 degree view of the area. Starting from the entrance you’re standing on a flat conveyor belt which slow takes you around the enclosure. Giving you a great view and time to see everything. It was great, we got to see all different breeds of penguins and see them swimming around.

Dolphin Stadium | Loro Parque Tenerife

Next stop is the Dolphin Stadium. Beautifully decorated with surrounding waterfalls and palm trees. This is one of the most modern and clean stadiums I have seen.

They really put on a show here, the instructors are so enthusiastic and so in tuned with the audience that you’ll have a really good time here. Its amazing to see how intelligent these animals are and how insanely high they can jump out of water.

Orca Ocean | Loro Parque Tenerife

Next we headed to the Orca Stadium. This stadium is huge and really goes to show how incredible these animals are. The seats are sectioned off between areas for people who want to get wet and those who don’t.

Loro Parque go into great lengths to inform the audience of the well being of the animals and emphasise that  park’s focus is on preservation. Orcas otherwise known as killer whales are part of the dolphin family. With its distinctive black body with white patches near their eyes.

Aquarium | Loro Parque Tenerife

Loro Parque have one of the most impressive aquarium I have seen, where you can immerse yourself in life below the surface. They have a immersive tunnel which you can walk under and see what it feels like to be at the bottom of the ocean. It makes you feel as you’re right next to sharks and huge swarms of fish.

Leones Marinos | Loro Parque Tenerife

The Sea Lion show is one to see aswell. If you’re looking for a fun light hearted antics. Sea Lions seem to be so intelligent and have amazing balance.

Overall experience

I really enjoyed my experience here and would highly suggest going to Loro Parque. If you’re looking for an activity to do around Tenerife that is fun, clean and have a nice walk around this is the place to be. The staff are friendly, smiley and highly professional.
